Youth Tour

Each year, Claiborne Electric Cooperative awards two high school juniors with an all-expense paid trip to Washington D.C. The Rural Electric Youth Tour is an annual week-long event in June during which 1400 high school juniors from across the nation convene in Washington D.C. to learn more about government, rural electric cooperatives and tour historic sights in our Nation's Capital. An essay contest determines the winners. The program is announced in the fall and essays are due in February.
